About the Silver Rose Bindery

Who am I?: I am a professional web developer with over a decade of experience in the field. I live and work in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, where my household is alternately dominated by my energetic dog, equally energetic daughter, and somewhat aloof cat. I spend my days at a desk pushing electronic bits around the server to maintain a mass of online information.
Why Bind Books: many people I know in my profession find something missing because our work lacks physical results. I've always enjoyed working with my hands and haven gotten deep satisfaction from having a real, tangible object about which I can say, "I made this." In the winter of 2002, I stumbled upon instructions for binding a book from scratch, and was hooked immediately. My first book, a simple blank journal made as a gift, was so well received that there was no turning back.
